Brave the unknown…
Quick whistle of shore birds…. longer notes of an eagle in solo flight over head… waves cresting – moment by moment…
Rush, swish, rise and fall – connecting in a dance – moment by moment
Crisp dusk moves swiftly, heading off the last of today’s sun – moment by moment.
Cedars lose themselves in shadow yet remain unyielding in their whispered fragrance – moment by moment.
Last light is often the light most cherished. May darkness wrap you in a warm blanket of possibility,
as moonlight serenades the sea…
I have come to trust and know that nothing stays the same. We are all in our physical existence for but a split second of eternal time.

Sprout Question: What are you waiting for?
Not a bloomin’ thing! As my mother used to say, “Time, Tide and Laurie wait for no man.”
And may I add Laurie… no woman either! And it is true. This is how I experience you and your work – heart and spirit wide open and going forth with gusto! Thank you for being the first sprout response today:)
Great post.
This serves as a personal reminder to not put my life on hold, at a time when I’m getting ready to relocate to the mainland….at a time when all I want is to “get there”.
Thanks.
Thank you Stephanie and a great sprout… follow up question – so specifically what are you going to do differently? (you can answer here if you like but the question is mostly just for you to take away and ponder as you are “getting ready to relocate.”
I wish I weren’t so shallow but…sadly…honestly…I am
I wait for validation, I wait for recognition, I wait to be invited…by him…by her…by them…by the publishing world.
While I wait, I sharpen the tools of my craft and I dream.
Ah Leanne… in my experience if there is a wee crack of a possibility to squeeze out a step forward… you take it! For example, the Mayne Island authors’ reading at a Victoria Book store that you worked into an opportunity. Thus giving your book Maynely A Mystery further exposure to an audience… and my book Leading Raspberry Jam Visions: Women’s Way and Amber Harvey will be reading from Mayne Island Ghosts a work in progress and third in the Magda Series. So, if that is your idea of shallow and waiting for recognition… I can hardly wait until you step right out there! Thank you for your sprout and your honest and being vulnerable. Such a pleasure to have you in my community of friends and colleagues.
Lovely, lovely pictures. I am waiting til I get home. My soul is telling me strongly what needs to be done right now…but it’s too hard on vacation to really focus and follow it. I tried for the first two days of vacation, and then lost it. So am waiting until arriving home to re-focus and move deeper. And isn’t it true that nothing remains the same? The sands are always always shifting.
Thanks Kathy… so true “the sands are always always shifting.” Thanks for leaving a sprout even when you are on vacation. I’m honoured.
I can compose music to your words… thanks!
You are most welcome:)
