This July morning has arrived with a heaviness in the west coast grey that seems to be promising rain as the building wind flaps through the clothes left on the line overnight. You may think this would be a non-inspiration kind of day for a painter. But I find the opposite to be true. This kind of morning often has my hands itching to reach for the brushes and to set a canvas on the studio easel. But today there is no time.
