Autumn flashes her best colours across our small island during these last few weeks. Now that it is the first of November, I feel I must gather this late season gold together for safe keeping during the winter rains which will surely come soon.
There has been a plein air painting day in the Japanese Gardens.
There has been a morning walk by sea before an anticipated storm.
Best of all though, there has been time to just be and watch the leaves drift down from my favourite maple tree….
Ah yes! October, so many pleasant gifts you have given!
What October Gold are you tucking away?

Terrill — I thoroughly, completely, and totally, enjoyed the Maple Tree by the Sea video that you posted. What a wonderful treat, thank you!
You are most welcome Laurie. We have a quiet rain this morning and daylight is coming slowly. This will likely take us into cooler temperatures and possibly even snow. I must remember to move the last of the potatoes out of the shed today so they don’t freeze… and drain and roll up the garden hose. It is that time of year.
Lovely images! I so much enjoyed the video too.
Thank you Deborah and I am glad you had time to enjoy it. With our days being so busy it is easy to rush past these moments. Yet, if I pause just for a few moments I seem to be sustained and more generous towards the short days of winter.
beautiful + we all need to sit and watch more often:-) thank you for sharing!
You are most welcome Robbie and I so agree and was just telling Deborah this very thing. Thank you for stopping by Creative Potager and taking the time to comment. Welcome to my musing and creative blog space which is older than my website and has provided a supportive community for life and painting now for many years. All the best of today to you! 🙂
