There are just three large plump peaches, fresh from the fields, sitting in a bowl on the table.
I paint the still life sketch promptly because there is a great risk of there only being two.
The result is slightly larger than life contemporary impressionist style painting sketch.
Because this is all there will be, no larger painting anticipated, the 11 x 14 inch original acrylic still life painting sketch on gessobord has been released immediately HERE.
I have also released this work as a print and products in my Redbubble storefront HERE.
The studio study was completed simply for the pleasure of summer, peaches and paint.
What simple pleasures of summer are you enjoying?
Happy Friday to you!

Terrill — They look delicious; I had to laugh that there was danger of one peach disappearing!
The simple pleasure of summer we enjoyed today was visiting a garage sale and finding a Schwinn brand bicycle wagon for a l-a-r-g-e dog; perfect for our Willa. Brand new they go for between $300-$500. Our cost? $35. Yay for summer garage sales 🙂
Oh that sounds perfect Laurie and what a savings! We celebrate the completion the painting sketch by, you guessed it, eating a peach! Their fragrance was so compelling I wasn’t sure we were going to be able to wait. I wish I had picked up 10 pounds instead of 5 when we were at the fruit stand in the Fraser Canyon. But we had no idea that they were going to be so good because it is not always so. Two left now.
Mouthwatering – We harvested our little pear tree this week and Tom is enjoying pears for breakfast, lunch and dinner. That little tree really had a lot of fruit to bear. I have been giving them away along with huge bags of Thompson Grapes – purple and red just starting to come in – there are bushels.
I think Tom would eat those peaches before you could paint them!!! They look yummy. Now a lovely reminder – make a very good meditation focus for sure.
I ordered new shoes for my birthday and the 2016 changes made them too small – Oh pooh! but I did have a marvelous lemon meringue pie for breakfast for 4 days to celebrate – also shared a bottle of champagne with Quinn ….and saw a movie Kobu terrific art work and storytelling. What are you going to do to celebrate your Birthday???I’ll be thinking of you
( new roof is very, very noisy business – Tom is painting house with a brush – very slow going but he is painting :))
Good thing Tom wasn’t in the studio Patricia or his hand reaching for the peach would be in the painting 😉 I can only imagine how wonderful it will be when the roof is fixed. It will all be done before the rains settle in 🙂
The first picture is beautiful, Terrill. What a great shot.
