I am almost ready! Tomorrow, being Saturday November 12, 2011, it is the annual Artisan Christmas Studio Tour on Mayne Island. There are eight Studios, two craft fairs and six shops participating. A few places are even going to be open on the Sunday as well as Saturday. Look for the red brochures at the Mayne Mall or drop by my Studio in the morning after 10:00 am. I can give you a brochure to get you started on a day of creative delights.
Here is a photo showing from last year’s Creative Potager studio opening to warm you up to the idea…
To find la casa de inspiracion, our home and studio, pick up the Mayne Island Community Chamber Brochure on ferry or at one of the local shops. Creative Potager is number 35 in the white square near the centre of the island. There are yellow signs to guide your right from where you turn on toWood Dale Road which is just as you come off the ferry. Just follow along until you get to 428 Bowsprite Crescent. I am looking forward to seeing you between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm.
There will be several new original oil paintings, photography prints and greeting cards showcasing our lovely west coast and Mayne Island.
For those of you that are too far away to drop in, please feel free to browse my online gallery at http://terrillwelchartist.com It is almost the same as coming by except you have to get your own cup of tea.

Cheers!
Sprout Question: What are you preparing for?
Over at Speaking from the Heart I’m preparing to deliver a 13-week blog series that will end this calendar year. It’ll launch on November 17.
I look forward to reading more about your series Laurie when it is launched. And I am happy to accept your glass of bubbly and toast to the Studio Tour. I do hope that is exactly what guests receive.
Terrill, once again I can’t come to your beautiful place and the other exciting locations on the island because I’ll be showing my hats and books at the Community Centre.
I hope we all have a lot of visitors.
Amber me too! And you know you can come by anytime to see what I am working on. Just call ahead so I can put the water on for tea.
Tea with you sounds lovely. Thanks.
Looks like the perfect spot for inspiration!
It is Andrea and I see you have an Abstract Show opening on Long Island this weekend as well. Welcome to Creative Potager and so glad you dropped in.
I’m sure this latest celebration of artistic accomplishment and cameraderie will be as successful as your recent exhibits and auctions, and I wish the best of luckj my friend!
What I am preparing for? Well, what with the Thanksgiving holiday immediately around the corner, Lucille and I are looking forward to attending the annual dinner at her sister’s hourse in a beautiful and massive home on a beautiful cul-de-sac in the rural town of Butler, New Jersey. The gathering includes about 50 people, including children, and almost always boasts a video presentation of family activities by the talented older son of of Lucille’s sisters’ three boys, who is attending a local University, majoring in communications. Life goes by so fast that people have difficulty getting together, making the holiday gatherings that much more priceless.
Your upcoming family time Sam sounds like just what Thanksgiving is all about. I wish you much joy. And thank you for the “good luck” for tomorrows open Studio day. I usually enjoy these once I have absolutely everything in order… now is the rush and panic time but it is starting to come together nicely.
Have a wonderful day tomorrow. Terrill!
What I am preparing for? I am preparing to start a new painting … as I procrastinate finishing another! lol
Oh your fair looks wonderful…I will need to put this event on my list for future reference.
I am preparing for two things right now: to take a week off to see my daughter in San Francisco and make sure the house is okay and all set – plus packing and preparing the kitchen for a new oven. My second/ but most major out of house experience in 2 years!)
I am also preparing for a surprise give away – that is just sensational – on Patricias Wisdom for November 24th through that weekend….Folks will not want to miss this event…( prize will be shipped Internationally so not limited to North America)
(Now I am secretly wondering if Laurie will win this one? 🙂 )
Patricia – You’re darned tootin’ I’m surr going to try 🙂
I hope the Studio Tour went very well and brings you new opportunities!
I’m preparing for future exhibits by starting a new series. As always, I look forward to the possibilities.
Stephanie it went very well and I have a post up today showing the space and telling more about the results. “Looking forward to the possibilities” are words to live by!
