Second, I want to increase the number of fans and collectors who can say “oh, that is impressionist painter and photographer Terrill Welch’s work.

Today’s cheeky Sprout Question: Do you have a suggestion for a work to be selected for this first Salish Sea Sunday Savings?

Leave a comment with a link to the work before midnight Saturday, October 1, 2011 and I shall see what I can do.

  1. Terrill – Oh how FUN! I can tell your audience from first-hand experience that your new coffee table book is amazing. Anyone who wins it will be TICKLED PINK! either for themselves, or for gift-giving purposes.

Today’s cheeky Sprout Question: Do you have a suggestion for a work to be selected for this first Salish Sea Sunday Savings?

That’s easy…ANY single one as they’re all spectacular!

    • Oh good Laurie! No I shall exhale. I have been sitting here thinking …. is this a good I idea or have I gone MAD?

Thank you for quelling those jitters Laurie with your glowing recommendations for PRECIOUS SECONDS.

So no specific image recommendations? Well, for you then – it shall all remain a surprise.

      • Terrill,

Really? Did you think that Laurie would not fan your fire, sing your praises, write admiringly about your book and your work!
Plus I think Laurie is the best Promoter ever!

        • Oh Jeff, I know you know what how fast that nasty little fun-eater fear can devour our self-confidence when we step out of our comfort zone 😉

The Thursday Teaser post and Salish Sea Sunday Savings event are way outside what I like to be doing. This is SALES. Mostly what I do is very fun marketing. Yet I know from practice that we sometimes have to give people a specific reason to make a decision to buy – we must create a time-limited opportunity to nudge us into action. I also know that as a full-time artist I must continually grow my client base. This also takes a strategy such as the LINK sharing draw to give people a reason to talk about my work. The trick is to do all of this in a way that holds kindness, integrity, respect and humble regard for your trust.

As readers, fans and collectors of my work I bow deeply when I ask for your support. It is a gift not a given. It is a gift that I greatly appreciate and allows me to keep doing what I love to do – and then share it with you:) Still, it is not easy to ask for this support. I must muster and rally my courage, exhale and boldly go forward.

  2. Terrill, I can also highly recommend your new book from first hand experience. It is just beautiful….. in every way.

As for your question, will have a look at your wonderful online gallery and let you know.

We’re very much looking forward to the first Salish Sea Sunday 🙂

  3. Oh what fun and I think it will be a success. I think the book giveaway will draw folks in and the art sale – well are we not the lucky ones indeed.

I am enjoying reading your great reviews from the folks who already have a copy of your stunning book.

  4. Terrill,

I am in! What a wonderful giving idea! The humidity has had my Lap top on the misfunctioning side. It has cooled off now, I will do what I can to connect and share your links…

    • Thank you Jeff – most appreciated and glad you are joining in the fun. Don’t forget to let me know though so I can enter your name in the draw each time you share.

And Dear readers PLEASE let me know when you share. I can tell by the hits that this post is being generously shared but I only have a few of you with your names in my container for the draw. Even if you forward an email to me or just send me a quick note telling me how you shared the post – it is enough to get your name in the draw.
