Greetings Fir Tree and Your Simple Goodness
The briefness of winter sun,
Met by the upturned corners
Of my mouth.
Free, for just a moment,
From any monetary value.
Free from any request.
Free from all, except today,
A quiet Sunday,
A late rising dawn.
Greetings fir tree
And your simple goodness.

To answer…
The simple goodness of reading and enjoying a friend’s beautiful poetry.
You have me smiling Leanne – cheers! 🙂
Terrill – I can see precisely why that tree inspired those beautiful words.
What simple goodness is greeting you today?
Unseasonably warm temperatures in the 60+ degrees 🙂
That sounds just lovely Laurie. I trust that this may have inspired a long walk and maybe even a short period of swinging the doors open and blowing out the cobwebs.
Lovely words and picture – they were inspiring even on a busy Monday.
my moment was today…all bundled up for the dog walk in the pouring rain Zip and I stepped out the door and the sun broke through and stayed out for all 4 miles – and we met several of our wonderful neighbors out enjoy our bright moments. Now it is pouring – sleeting again and I must turn on a light at noon.
I am also working on a post about my painting workshop, a book I did not like but agreed to review, and a special treat for my holiday post – highlighting a writer on her happiness project…
I am trying my lovely apple blossom painting in a new spot this week but taking it down for meditation time because it is giving me just the right focus right now. I still like it best on the piano music stand – it is so full of hope and possibility …Thank you again dear angel.
Oh it is so much fun to move a new painting around and see where it most wants to be don’t you agree Patricia? One must always be thankful to our angels though it is hardly necessary as they do what they do anyway. A four mile walk is a good solid outing. Good for you!
